Messed with this in AB. It's decent, but I'm not promoting it. Just posting it for the other crazies out there.

Random Notes:

- The adren skills and crit hits eliminate the need for nrg runes.
- Could replace dash with rush.
- Would use critical chop if its recharge wasn't lame.

Axes have some awesome skills that hit all adjacent foes. Try [[triple chop] for example. That way you actually deal more AoE damage then a ScytheSin.
It's fun for PvE play. I use it every now and then when I'm bored by Moebius + Blossom or the scythe.

well triple chop only beats a scythe elite if you're going against at least 10 or more monsters since you'd hit all adjacent monsters whereas a scythe would only hit 3 but if you were farming like 3-5 monsters , an axe would kill alot slower then a scythe. yeah i'd probably use an axe if i was bored or a hammer for AoE KD ( if the monsters i'm farming can be knockdown ) otherwise i'd use my daggers / scythe

dunno if its just me, but i tend to hit more foes with tripple chop than scythe, i know the 3 target limit, but still..

i use wotm on a crit barrage hero

It's not only about the 3 enemies limit. The Scythe has a small arc in front of you, [[triple chop] will hit all adjacent foes (all around you).
It's more about being lazy: With a scythe you need good positioning to hit multiple foes. With the axe you can simply run right in the middle of it and have fun.
Not something I would recommend in the elite areas but for NM / easy HM vanquish it is quite relaxing.

did u miss the bit with +42 @ 16weapon mastery. and +38 @ 14

its one of the harder hitting attacks of any proffesion, in terms of +damage

I'm not saying you're wrong, +34 (12 axe) to every adjacent foe is awesome. The numbers you're saying are normally unreachable though.

Personally I'm with MegaVolti, it's a nice changeup for PvE. Sometimes I just don't feel like trying to get positioning right with a scythe or hitting 2323232323. Triple/Cyclone/Whirlwind with roughly a 50/50 shot at a critical on each hit kills plenty good enough. 10 recharge on Triple sucks though.

+dmg really adds nothing for [triple chop] check the recharges out maybe and stop theorycrafting? You will see that +dmg or not its still terrible. Maybe you mean it for a wammo but guess what not everyone is a wammo!

Only viable thing to run with wotm atm are scythes cuz auto-attacking for 100+ and spamming dw is ossum.
